Costa Dorada
Costa Dorada has the best climate of all the Spanish costas - warm and dry without the scorching heat of the south, with the gentle breeze off the Mediterranean keeping the temperature comfortable. It has Fantastic beaches known as the 'gold coast it stretches 150 miles with unbroken stretch of golden sands. If you are going with your kids then a trip to Port Aventura theme park is a must. Many people use Costa Dorada as a sea side base so they can go to Barcelona thus getting the best of both worlds, a beach holiday combined with a city brake. Tarragona is the region's capital, it is steeped in history with Roman ruins scattered throughout the Old Town and the outskirts.

The Costa Dorada Golden Coast has 200 kilometres of golden beaches. The warm seas of the Mediterranean splash onto the narrow beaches of golden sand that are family friendly and sun seekers alike. Salou's beaches are set inside a bay and from here to Cambrils, the soft sand and shallow waters create a safe and sunny playground. You'll find palm trees along the promenades. cafés along most of the beaches, including the two at Vilanova. Bathers at La Pineda should know that there can be undercurrents so check out the Flag system they have.
